Logan and Jay’s Intimate Vermont Wedding

A dozen people, a few short hours, and a wedding that we will never ever forget… this was Logan and Jay’s wedding.

It snowed all day, beautiful dreamland snow, the kind of snow that you picture when you think of romantic white fluffy Vermont snow. We met them in a lodge where there closest family were all together preparing to witness Logan and Jay exchange vows. They had flown in from places as far away as California and Florida. Their first look took place in the falling snow… I don’t know how to properly convey that scene other than to share the images. It was complete and total first look perfection. The had their ceremony in the snow on the back porch of the cabin. It was so casual but yet so serious… one of those ceremonies where you can feel the sacred vows. After the kiss, it was on to a sleigh ride in the snow followed by dinner, cooked by the chef right there in the cabin. What could really be better?

I hope that the images convey just how unforgettable this small wedding really was. Pinch me ok?

Wisconsin 2013

Back in October (!) I went to visit my friend Annie in her beloved state of Wisconsin. We have been friends for almost 10 years, long distance. Whenever anyone disses the internet I kindly remind them that the internet is not only HOW I met one of my best friends, but also where we maintained it for nearly a decade. Yay internet!

We have traveled together a lot, some trips are even here on the blog (Vegas, Disney..) but this is the first time I have even been able to visit her in her homelands! It was so fun to get the local tour from her.

A few things to note about WI:

It’s precious. Like a lot of what I saw and did could only be described as “precious.” I liked that.
Door County is worth a visit for anyone and everyone, unless you don’t like precious places.
The Milwaukee Art Museum is an architectural masterpiece.
The Harley Museum is gorgeous, unexpectedly.
If you visit, prepare to eat… all day… every day…
Rainbow Umbrellas make all things better.
Holy Crap. Lambeau Field is impressive and shocking and… like many other things, worth a visit.
It’s only missing one thing, the Ocean

Karina and Christian’s Puerto Rico Wedding

It is hard to describe Karina and Christian’s wedding day without sounding like I’m exaggerating, but honestly it was completely unforgettable. Mix together eclectically decorated getting ready apartment in the heart of Old San Juan, stylish details from the beginning to the end at the reception, creative music, actual skilled latin dancing, an open air hacienda called theÂ La Hacienda Siesta AlegreÂ in the rain forest, bridal party fun at El Morro, a wedding dress that included feathers…. I mean honestly. What could be more fun?

Karina and Christian have a beautiful story and their faith in Christ is at the center of it. It is always good to see what a relationship built within Christ looks like lived out in real life. Their vows included promises like “Should sorrow come your way, I vow to be the shoulder you can lean on and as you lean on me I vow to lift you up with love and encouragement.” and “You are precious to me. All the riches in the world cant buy the love I have for you.” Again… wonderfulness. It was so so romantic. I hope you and see that through these images and you will join us in wishing them well in their new voyage into marriage!
