Roger Williams Park Rhode Island Wedding: Kate and Stephen

If you have ever met me, you will know that I’m a big fan of color, glitter, sparkle, and rainbows. That’s how you will know that Kate and Stephen’s wedding was right up my street. You guys…. it was FUNtastic.

They had their wedding in a big park with lots of locations around it as the backdrops for their day. First, they had their first look in a carousel. Yup. And then the family and wedding party portraits were set in a huge gorgeous marble temple. Then we went waterside for their ceremony, complete with confetti. Lastly, the reception was in an old casino where a drag-queen ready us all a book before the dancing began. Are you with me? This was a fun-fest.

We adored being a part of their day because it was just so so happy. Everyone seemed to be over the moon about these two getting married, and quite frankly, so were we.

Federal Hill Engagement Session: Erica and Matt

What do you do on a rainy rainy day in Providence Rhode Island? Well the four of us decided to rock out some engagement photos on that wet day on Federal Hill. Erica and Matt got engaged in DePasquale Square at Christmas time and wanted to revisit the spot for their engagement photos. Erica sent me the video from the engagement and it brought tears to my own eyes. So so cute! It made me uber happy we spent the session there too. Not to mention, we got coffee at the Venda Ravioli, where Erica grew up shopping with her grandpa. After all those special spots, we headed out to Buzzards Bay Brewing for some last photos before we drank a few pints and talked about our mutual love for travel. Not a bad way to spend a rainy day at all!

Providence Rhode Island Wedding: Dana and Rodrigo

The Providence Public Library is stunner of a wedding venue, so you kinda need to be a pretty fantastic glamorous couple to be able to live up to the grandeur. Thankfully, we were there with Dana and Rodrigo, two really rad folks. The guys got ready just down the street at a hotel, while Dana and her ladies prepared in the Trustee’s room of the library. She was such a easy bride that after she got ready, having done so so quickly, we had lots of time to take bridal portraits, which I loved.

The two made things legal and official with cheers and a mazel tov. Then everyone headed for dinner and toasts in yet another gorgeous room in the library. We snuck off with the couple for portraits, even getting yelled at for losing our library chaperone. Whoops! The photos were worth it we think. The dancing began and it felt like the time flew by. I remember when we hugged Dana goodbye she said “Is it time already??” Many congrats to you both. <3

Roshan and Karen’s Newport Rhode Island Engagement Session

I don’t remember the last time we went to so many spots for photos. I think we hit six locations for this session including two state parks, one town park, and three side of the road spots that just looked awesome. As I was editing this session I could not get over how stunningly beautiful New England is. Just pulling off the side of the road and capturing scenery like this is commonplace here. I can’t imagine a more inspiring place for my soul… here, and hawaii, and the coast of NC, and what I imagine Ireland to be… perhaps that means I just can’t get enough of this beautiful planet!

Roshan and Karen were guests at Mara and Will’s wedding. I remember seeing them dancing at the wedding, completely lost in the moment and loving on each other. What an honor it was when they reached out to us for their own wedding this September! They are both gorgeous, stylish, successful, and most importantly, in love with one another. Spending a sunset with them was just my cup of tea.Roshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0007.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0004.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0021.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0038.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0048.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0065.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0072.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0097.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0090.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0105.JPGRoshan and Karen Engagement 0147Roshan and Karen Engagement 0136Roshan and Karen Engagement 0130Roshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0107.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0125.JPGRoshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0123.JPGRoshan and Karen Engagement 0132Roshan-and-Karen-Engagement-0117.JPG

Nicole and Brian’s Linden Place Mansion Wedding

Way back in the cold of last winter, we met Nicole and Brian at a local restaurant. They came all the way up here to meet us, with the promise that not too far ahead of the wedding, we could come and hang out with them too. Just over a month and a half ago, we got to go see them again and tour the venue and local spots they wanted to photos taken in. After dinner and a ENORMOUS cookie, we drove away, so so excited about their upcoming wedding day.

Not too long after, it was time! That afternoon, I met Nicole at the Linden Place in Bristol, RI, where she got ready to marry her true love… Brian. Dan was with the guys at Brian’s apartment where they headed out for the church. The ceremony was super sweet. My favorite part was the minister reading aloud the things that Brian and Nicole had written down about what they loved about each other during a pre-marital counseling meeting. It was sweet to hear and got me thinking about Dan, as always. Afterwards, we headed to two spots for photos. One spot was inspired by Brian’s love for Sigur Rós, imagined up by him and set up by him, for him, which we LOVE. Take charge of your images! Next came the party, food, and dancing, which is always a good way to round out a day, especially a wedding day. Cheers to Nicole and Brian!!
