Linekin Bay Wedding: Jen and Colin

Longtime love finally being made into a marriage is always a beautiful thing to witness, but I have to say that the tears that Jen shed throughout the day were a reminder of her presence and her gratefulness to be here now. The time we spent with them at sunset was truly fun. We didn’t have to pose them hardly at all because they just scampered about laughing and snuggling. What more could a photographer ask for? Kind people? Check. Fun dancing? Check. Beautiful setting? Check. Well… I’m happy.

Brownfield Maine, Mountain Wedding: Maddie and Corey

“WHERE ARE WE?” That’s what I kept saying to Dan as we drive further and further into Maine. I’m still a little confused as to where we actually were but we made it there, wherever “there” was. When we arrived, we got to walk into a welcoming, happy, laid-back, joyful, loving, salt-of-the-earth, Mainer family. As much as a wedding day is filled with sweet moments, my absolute favorite moment was when the rain started, the second they began their processional from their ceremony. It was a bit of magic.

Pine Point Beach Maine Wedding: Alicia and Brandon

Happy getaway/wedding to these two. Hailing from far away, Buffalo NY, they stole away to sweet sweet Maine to elope. Proper.

We met them at an Airbnb, walked across the street to the ocean, and there they got married. Just like that. We spend a few hours with them taking photos in a new spot for us, which we really really liked. Super Maine-y if you ask me. Then… just like that, (I know I’ve said that twice now but it really did feel FAST), we were hugging them goodbye and wishing them well in their marriage. Also… can we just take in the sparkle of Alicia’s dress, please. Wow. Wow. Wow. and wow again. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see the song I ALWAYS hear in my head when I think of Alicia! What a gem. <3

Scarborough Maine Engagement Session: Krishna and Mike

These smiles yall. Look at these smiles.

When you are this happy to have found each other, it’s kinda hard to not show it on your face 24/7. Can’t you just feel it through these photos? Boy, are we lucky to have this kind of joy in front of our cameras. It makes us look good.

Krishna and Mike, we loved you two and we are so happy you spend these two hours with us, frolicking like twitterpated love bugs.

Chebeague Island Inn Wedding: Scott and Grace

It takes a real effort to make it all the way to Chebeague Island. For us, it took 1 uber, 1 ferry, and 1 shuttle to get to the weddings, followed by a long walk, 1 ferry back, 1 bus ride, and 1 more uber, to get home. That’s right. BUT… that’s what makes an island wedding so special. All that effort makes being there all the more magical feeling. Then you add a confident lady marrying a smitten man, and you have yourself a recipe for wonderfulness.

Scott and Grace know how to be present and enjoy the day. We saw them all day, interacting and enjoying their friends and family throughout the event AND secret snuggly glances at one another in the midst of it all. I particularly loved waiting for the ceremony with Grace. It was just the two of us for almost 15 min, talking family dynamics and the nuances of weddings. Such a special memory for me that I have even mention when trying to explain what makes wedding photography so special!
