Cape Elizabeth Maine Engagement Session: Tori and Dave

Tori and Dave are cute eh? These two we met via mutual friends and we are so glad we did. The bummer thing is, right when we were getting to know them, they moved to Boston. Whomp Whomp. The move was a big deal for both of their careers though so we are stoked for them in that respect BUT I sure do miss Tori’s perspective in our book club.

We did find some time last fall to slip in a mini-engagement session with them since they are planning a wedding and all… 😉

Oceanside Intimate Wedding: Tatyana and Nick

Do not be deceived by Tatyana’s pint-sized cuteness. She’s a badass Marine, who is marrying another badass Marine in Nick. Boom. Photographing our military is always fun to do. I mean, who doesn’t love a uniform? Classy y’all. These two had a teensy weensy wedding right on the coast of Maine. The only guests were their immediate family, who were all so sweet. After the ceremony, the four of us walked around in the woods and on the rocks to take some more fun portraits. Before we knew it, they were off for a celebration dinner. Tiny weddings are just so good.

Two Lights State Park Engagement Session: Marisa and Heath

Remember the fall and all the lovely colors? Let’s go back in our minds shall we? Fall is a time where we end up doing so so many of our engagement sessions. These two were so dang fun to work with because they were DOWN for some wacky ideas. Because of those chill vibes, I was personally able to create at least three images that scratched my wacky photographer itch, which is huge. Sometimes I only get 5-10 a year! See if you can spot them.

We, of course, got some classics with them because we love those just as much, but I will be forever grateful to them for being so open with my creative-ness… and to Dan for helping me work it out when my brain felt like it was cracking.

Yay!!!

Roger Williams Park Rhode Island Wedding: Kate and Stephen

If you have ever met me, you will know that I’m a big fan of color, glitter, sparkle, and rainbows. That’s how you will know that Kate and Stephen’s wedding was right up my street. You guys…. it was FUNtastic.

They had their wedding in a big park with lots of locations around it as the backdrops for their day. First, they had their first look in a carousel. Yup. And then the family and wedding party portraits were set in a huge gorgeous marble temple. Then we went waterside for their ceremony, complete with confetti. Lastly, the reception was in an old casino where a drag-queen ready us all a book before the dancing began. Are you with me? This was a fun-fest.

We adored being a part of their day because it was just so so happy. Everyone seemed to be over the moon about these two getting married, and quite frankly, so were we.

Portland Maine Elopement: Michelle and Damien

Three words that I would use to describe Damien and Michelle’s tiny Portland Maine City Hall Wedding are sweet, simple, and elegant. It was such a gorgeous day here in Portland, with just a kiss of brisk fall air and pretty yellow leaves shining in the trees. Damien and Michelle had a little first look just outside the Danforth Inn and then they called an uber to take us to City Hall. Nice and easy.

They said their vows and then they were married. Just like that.

We all hopped into our car and the four of us did portraits around town. They had a date on the Narrow Gauge railroad so that was an important spot to hit. Afterward, we also went over to Mackworth island for some nature photos. It was an all-round great wedding in our opinion.
