As you may know, Dan and I got to hit up sweet and sunny California this past November for a wedding in Napa. Since the wedding was for a friend, we decided to extend the trip and change it from a business trip to a full blown vacation! We got to see a lot of good friends that we rarely get to spend time with, which was obviously worth the trip in and of itself. The trip began in LA, where our friends Luke and Maureen met us at the airport. They took us to all the LA classic tourist spots, as per our request since it was my 28th birthday. We hit up the Griffith Observatory, The Chinese Theater, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Blvd, and the Santa Monica Pier. It was the first time I had ever laid eyes on or touched the Pacific Ocean so I must say that was a perfect gift for my birthday. Nest we headed up the coast with Dan’s college friend James. The next two days were spent in the mountains near Pasa Robles. Then we headed up the Pacific Coast Highway on our way the the Napa wedding we photographed. After almost being in a car accident on the 1, we stopped in at the Winchester House in San Jose, which turned out to be a very bizarre experience to say the least. I’ll leave that one alone. Lastly we visited San Francisco on a delirious this-is-the-last-day-of-a-week-long-vacation-and-we-are-tired-but-must-press-on view of the city. It was a great way to be introduced to California and now Dan and I must go back soon!
