Oceanside Intimate Wedding: Tatyana and Nick

Do not be deceived by Tatyana’s pint-sized cuteness. She’s a badass Marine, who is marrying another badass Marine in Nick. Boom. Photographing our military is always fun to do. I mean, who doesn’t love a uniform? Classy y’all. These two had a teensy weensy wedding right on the coast of Maine. The only guests were their immediate family, who were all so sweet. After the ceremony, the four of us walked around in the woods and on the rocks to take some more fun portraits. Before we knew it, they were off for a celebration dinner. Tiny weddings are just so good.

Roger Williams Park Rhode Island Wedding: Kate and Stephen

If you have ever met me, you will know that I’m a big fan of color, glitter, sparkle, and rainbows. That’s how you will know that Kate and Stephen’s wedding was right up my street. You guys…. it was FUNtastic.

They had their wedding in a big park with lots of locations around it as the backdrops for their day. First, they had their first look in a carousel. Yup. And then the family and wedding party portraits were set in a huge gorgeous marble temple. Then we went waterside for their ceremony, complete with confetti. Lastly, the reception was in an old casino where a drag-queen ready us all a book before the dancing began. Are you with me? This was a fun-fest.

We adored being a part of their day because it was just so so happy. Everyone seemed to be over the moon about these two getting married, and quite frankly, so were we.

Portland Maine Elopement: Michelle and Damien

Three words that I would use to describe Damien and Michelle’s tiny Portland Maine City Hall Wedding are sweet, simple, and elegant. It was such a gorgeous day here in Portland, with just a kiss of brisk fall air and pretty yellow leaves shining in the trees. Damien and Michelle had a little first look just outside the Danforth Inn and then they called an uber to take us to City Hall. Nice and easy.

They said their vows and then they were married. Just like that.

We all hopped into our car and the four of us did portraits around town. They had a date on the Narrow Gauge railroad so that was an important spot to hit. Afterward, we also went over to Mackworth island for some nature photos. It was an all-round great wedding in our opinion.

Coolidge Family Farm Maine Wedding: Cassandra and Derek

Cassandra is a wedding photographer here in Maine, so I’m sure you can imagine what a big deal it was for her to ask us to be her wedding photographer. We were so honored that a fellow photographer would want our take on her day. Derek is an all-around good dude and we loved being able to spend a little time with him too. In case you missed it, here is their engagement session, which was such a fun time over the summer.

One thing I really really enjoyed about their wedding day was how it felt. There was an overall calm and joyful vibe that lasted all day. Everyone seemed relaxed and happy and generally just taking in the day without stress or nerves. It was just a day of happiness! From champagne-sipping in the bathtub and barefoot frolics in the fields you can see the vibes. The ceremony was fun and silly while also remembering the seriousness that is starting a marriage. The dancing was wild and lots of delicious blue drinks were consumed by everyone. Heck… once I put the camera away for the night, I even had a few.

All in all, it was a banger wedding to be a part of and we are forever grateful to be invited into days like these.

Midcoast Maine Wedding: Taylor and Matt

Taylor and Matt got married at Point Lookout Resort overlooking the gorgeous Penobscot Bay. The view is the best up at the top, which is precisely where they said their “I do’s” and why they decided to have their wedding there in the first place. Sadly, Point Lookout is no longer offering weddings so these two were some of the last couples to have their wedding overlooking that stunning spot.

After a lovely Ketubah ceremony, they had their public ceremony, and then it was time for cheers and celebration! One super fun detail was that Matt scheduled a surprise fireworks show for Taylor. Talk about a major surprise!!! It was so fun to see the fireworks lights up everyone’s faces with colorful joy while they watched.
