Rye New Hampshire Wedding: Mariah and Roger

We met Mariah and Roger last year for their engagement session, and have been looking forward to their wedding even more than usual since then. (Click that link and go and see the cuteness).

It was a hot hot day here in New England. The sun we beating down and giving us intense light and everyone’s skin was “glistening.” Im not sure if the couple of photos we got of Roger crying were tears or sweat but well just go ahead and say tears ok? In spite of the heat, everyone was happy happy joy joy all day! We loved being around these humans and their friends.

The toasts were all hilarious. The dancing was fresh. The sunset was bangin. All in all, a wonderful day to be a wedding photographer.

Sanbornton New Hampshire Wedding: Valerie and Stephen

Valarie and Stephen got married in beautiful New Hampshire on a hot hot day. Everyone there seemed to be on a high of happiness to see these two get married. To tell you the truth, it was contagious. Dan and I both commented on how IN LOVE these two were. Just watch the video that Taylor of True Colors Productions made right at the very bottom of this post. You’ll hear their insane vows and also see just how snuggly wuggly they were all freakin’ day long. We didn’t have to do very much as far as posing goes, since they were so into each other all day. Living the photography dream I tell you. <3

Acadia Elopement: Zaid and Wren

Zaid and Wren eloped earlier this summer with just us and officiant to make it official. We met them at their hotel room and grabbed a few getting ready images, then piled into their rental car to head up to the top of Cadillac Mountain.

One of the coolest details of their ceremony was that, rather than a wedding ring, Zaid gave Wren a wedding necklace. All their jewelry matched and was custom made for them. We love when we get to see something completely different and Zaid and Wren provided just that!

After the ceremony, we headed over to another spot in Acadia for some more rock crawling and ocean dipping. These two were down for anything, but the thing they were most down for, was when I suggested we got ice cream to celebrate.

North Haven Island Maine Wedding: Liv and Cole

I have to say, a North Haven Wedding is always going to be special. Perhaps its the challenge of having a wedding there in the first place. Perhaps it’s the ferry ride, marking a difference between mainland and island. Perhaps is the people who live on the island. Perhaps it’s just that magic North Haven something… whatever it is… it’s real.

Liv and Cole decided to invest the time and effort and made their wedding happen on this dreamy island and we are so so happy we were there. The boys started the day with a swim, while the bride’s crew hung out in a CLASSIC Maine cabin. Liv got ready outside in the sunshine and then took a quick wade in the ocean before heading over to Turner Farm to meet Cole for their first look.

The sky opened up with a squall right before the ceremony, having us all watching the radar to see how long we needed to wait before we could have the ceremony. I love it when weddings are chill enough that we can wait it out. The ceremony was blessed with amazing skies behind thanks to the storm. With a lot of cows present along with the guests, we all watched these two become husband and wife!

Acadia Elopement: Meridith and Bill

I will always smile when I remember Meridith and Bill’s teensy weensy elopement in Acadia. This was a true elopement. No one knew, not even Bill’s 6-year-old daughter. It was a wonderful fun surprise.

After decorating the car, we all headed to meet Bill at the ceremony spot and what a spot it was. Take a look yall. I loved how they incorporated Bill’s daughter into the ceremony as well, with Meredith giving her very own vows as her new step-mom and a necklace to remember those promises. My heart right?

We spent the rest of the evening taking portraits throughout the park, us AND the little one. She had her very own disposable camera to document the day herself. I loved that. Our very own 6-year-old assistant! Everyone shared a chocolate cake on the beach and then we all headed back into town for a few final photos of the day. Pretty precious if you ask me.
