John and Michael’s Boston Portrait Session

When we moved to Boston from Kitty Hawk, it was a huge adjustment! It was cold. We live at least 45 minutes from a breaking wave, everything is old (which i love love love) and we knew only one person, my dear friend Brandy. We were starting a new job, finding a place to live, and simply trying to figure out EVERYTHING it felt like.

Enter John.

John showed me the city, and introduced me to new foods, new places, and how to ride the T. He even brought me to his house to meet his puppy, Logan, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  That moment changed my life forever since Logan is why we decided to get Hattie, OUR Cavalier King Charles Spaniel!

Enter Rachel.

John also connected me with a precious, adorable, lovely, kind, HILARIOUS, woman named Rachel, who is an aspiring wedding photographer! Rachel wanted to come along on a few shoots with Dan and I to really get an idea of how the actual photographing went with clients and our process after the photos have been taken. Feel free to hit her up for a session if you are in the Boston Area. She’s awesome! Email us for her contact info.

John, his partner Michael, and their puppy Logan all agreed to be our subjects for a practice photoshoot for Rachel.

Here are a few that I took during that shoot:

Hey there!

This is a photo of me in a burger bar in Stockholm Sweden. I am about to drink the best beer I have ever had. It's a pretty important photo of me. I just remember feeling filled with joy and so so glad to be alive. That's a good place to start on getting to know me.

I like to travel.

I like beer.

I like the person who was across the table from me. Any guesses who?
