Vendor Spotlight: Plum Pretty Sugar

Today I am honored to share a little “get to know you” email conversation I had with Charlotte Hale of Plum Pretty Sugar!

I really believe that what her company offers will add to your wedding day and make your bridesmaids really happy! I personally love pretty robes and feeling feminine. I think it’s really easy to bum around the house in yoga pants and a tank top (especially since I work from home and thats the uniform). That being said, when I get up in the morning and enjoy my “Dan-made” coffee, I am almost always rocking a pretty robe. It’s just how I roll. I know for SURE that if I were to have another wedding to Dan (is that a thing?), I would incorporate a pretty robe for myself, and pretty robes for all my girls. I think it sets the mood for the femininity and loveliness of the getting ready portion of the day, and adds to the pampering aspect of it. Im all about this one at the moment.

We photographed Karina and Christian’s wedding last December and Karina and her bridesmaids were wearing the loveliest robes. I had heard of Plum Pretty Sugar before but never seen them in person until Karina’s wedding day. Hello cute! I asked her who made them and of course it was Plum Pretty Sugar. That in turn lead me to reach out to Charlotte and perhaps learn a little more about the background so I could share this company with ya’ll! I want to photograph more brides and bridal party ladies rocking these super lovely robes!

 So here you go:

Before we begin, let’s meet you! What is your specific role in Plum Pretty Sugar? Charlotte Hale, the Founder and Creative Director of Plum Pretty Sugar.

How about telling us a little bit about the company and how it began? From the website, “Inspired by the idea of breezy happiness against a backdrop of easy-living chic, Charlotte Hale founded Plum Pretty Sugar in 2009. A love of beautiful things combined with an impeccable eye, Charlotte sought to bring cozy comfort, feminine details and blushing touches to apparel, adornment and interiors. Charlotte is an experienced entrepreneur in both luxury beauty and consumer product industries and enjoys the process of inspiration and creation. She gracefully brings her business and communications background to the markets of fashion, bridal, maternity and interiors. Charlotte lives in sunny California with her husband, baby boy and four sweet dogs.”

Four dogs!?! That is awesome. What breeds? Two Australian Shepherds and two Golden Retrievers.

Your fabrics are all so gorgeous. Tell us about you create them? Thanks so much! We aim to create classic patterns in colors and designs that we think will stand the test of time.

What is one of your favorite products that is offered? We love our recently launched Plum Pretty Sugar for BHLDN collection. Created exclusivity for BHLDN, the new watercolor prints and pieces feature a soft, timeless approach that evoke romance and classicism.

BHLDN is an awesome company to be working alongside. That’s really exciting. You do a lot more than just Robes for bridal parties! Can you tell me a specific product you are crushing on right now? Rompers! They are perfect for getting ready and great as a pretty little number for any occasion.

Thank you Charlotte for chatting with me!

Before we go, here are a few from Karina’s wedding day so you can see why I was stoked to photograph them:

Hey there!

This is a photo of me in a burger bar in Stockholm Sweden. I am about to drink the best beer I have ever had. It's a pretty important photo of me. I just remember feeling filled with joy and so so glad to be alive. That's a good place to start on getting to know me.

I like to travel.

I like beer.

I like the person who was across the table from me. Any guesses who?
