Vendor Spotlight: The Mrs. Box

It’s treat time for you guys! I had the pleasure of email interviewing Summer of The Mrs. Box and I am sharing that with you today. Now if you have not seen these boxes yet, consider this a banner day for yourself. Its time to get on this bandwagon and make your ringbox a thing of beauty! Ive been really wanting to photograph one of these for a bride one day and thought I have better tell you guys about them if I want that to happen eh?
Enter Summer…

SUM-0045_small (1)Hi Summer! Thanks for taking the time to talk with me and our readers! Would you mind telling us who you are and your role in the company?
I am the creator of The Mrs. Box and started the business alongside my husband, Bryan. I’m quite a bit of the creative mind behind the business, so my responsibilities include choosing the colors for each line, co-styling our photo shoots with a team of vendors I curate, and managing all of our marketing and branding endeavors. There’s a long list of other not quite as glamorous responsibilities, but those are the fun ones!

Your website tells the story of opening the business and the process so Ill send you readers there for that part:
We will wait here for you…

You back? Ok great.

Opening a business takes some guts! How long did you simmer on this idea before you were able to make it into a reality? I knew for a few years that I wanted to launch a product in the wedding space, so that we could have something tangible to send out to our readers (I am the creator/owner of the wedding blog Grey Likes Weddings). Once we formulated the idea, it took three years of research and development before we were able to launch our product. I joke that I essentially earned a private MBA in the process!
On the site it describes your love of color and that is clear in the gorgeous array that you keep refreshing through the seasons. Do you have any favorites you gravitate towards? Choosing certainly feels like picking which of your children is your favorite! I love each of our colors so much! That being said, I love our green hues, because that is indeed a personal favorite for me. We have two new green colors coming out in our next line and they are gorgeous!
When you imagine the boxes being opened by someone, what is the narrative you hope the Mrs. Box tells for them? My hope is that The Mrs. Box becomes a sweet memento for our customers something that triggers a wonderful memory. Our boxes are very often given as gifts and mark special occasions, and we feel incredibly honored to be a small part in our customers wonderful stories.
One thing Ive always appreciated with your brand is the incredible photographs you have of your boxes, and the gorgeous styling. How do you keep things consistent but also so very fresh? Im always on the hunt for inspiration that will spark ideas for our shoots! We also work with incredibly talented people that help bring life to those ideas. Styling our boxes is the most fun we have all year!
A few fun questions for you too:
Favorite documentary you watched recently: Does “How to Make a Murderer” Count?
Breakfast of choice: coffee, eggs, and toast.
Favorite thing to do on a Saturday: We head to the farmers market to pick up organic goods for our weeks meals. While we shop we always grab a bit to eat from the vendors, and sip on coffee! So much fun!
Number one travel destination: St. Barth!

Hey there!

This is a photo of me in a burger bar in Stockholm Sweden. I am about to drink the best beer I have ever had. It's a pretty important photo of me. I just remember feeling filled with joy and so so glad to be alive. That's a good place to start on getting to know me.

I like to travel.

I like beer.

I like the person who was across the table from me. Any guesses who?

where we hang
