Preserve at Chocorua Wedding: Jay and Kristen

Kristen and Jay are nothing if not fiercely persistent and determined. In this way, they MADE their wedding happen, and not only HAPPEN but SHINE in this time of social distancing and Coronavirus. The guest list was modest, the tables were far apart. Tests we taken. Travels plans made. And then… the wedding took place!

They opted for a first touch, which is kind of like a first look but instead of actually seeing each other, they just held hands on either side of a door and had a little “hello i love you” moment before their ceremony. Super cute.

Take a look at the way they made their 2020 wedding happen…

Cape Elizabeth Maine Post-Wedding Session: Caleigh and Sean

Caleigh and Sean had a different plan for their wedding, including Turks and Caicos. 😩 They still wanted to get married though no matter what. They had a tiny legal ceremony at a Justice of the Peace’s house(!) and then drove up to Maine for some photos with us, to commemorate their wedding. This year has been a serious downer for so many of our clients but we can’t stress enough how important it is to still honor your relationship and do what your hearts need… and for Caleigh and Sean, that was to get married.

Backyard Engagement Session: Kathryn and Fede

It a few very short weeks, these two are going to get married. They are one of the few couples we had booked for 2020 that kept the same wedding date and venue and just made plans for a smaller event. It was probably a little easier for them since… the venue is her parent’s backyard. We met up with them on a hot summer evening to take some engagement photos with them in the same spot that we get to come back to for the wedding. Super sweet. Super chill. Super cute. Just what we like.

Intimate Portland Maine Sail Wedding: Hallie and Doug

Welcome to our first wedding of 2020 and our first Pandemic wedding. What a time to be alive amiright? Thankfully, our entrance into the world of COVID-19 weddings was a really gentle sweet smart one. On top of being generally rad and kind humans, the bride Hallie, is a Doctor (or a resident? I can remember). That fact alone made us even more confident that this wedding would be a good one considering the circumstances.

We met them both at their respective getting ready zones, Hallie being at their apartment surrounded quite literally by mountain bikes, their shared obsession passion. It was a super casual relaxed vibe and I was immediately at ease around her and her people. We then headed over to the Portland Waterfront, to meet her awaiting Groom and their tiny group of friends and family.

We all boarded the boat and, as you can imagine, we had a little wedding celebration!
