Portsmouth, New Hampshire Wedding: Monica and Daniel

Monica and Daniel’s Portsmouth NH wedding was on a hot hot day in June. They found that absolute cutest little chapel on the sea to marry each other, with precious little flower girls and a Scottish Quaich Ceremony (google it). There were tons of laughs all day long. You’ll see how happy Dan makes Monica in the photos… she was absolutely over the moon all day.

After the ceremony, there was an intimate reception at a local restaurant, with sweet speeches and delicious food and drink. We stole away for a little while to photograph them in the park. It was just such an easy going relaxed and romantic day. A good day to be a wedding photographer, that’s for sure.

Scarborough Maine Wedding: Mandy and Jeremy

We had been looking forward to the wedding for a long time. Mandy is such a beautiful woman, who knows who she is and what she wants and goes for it. Jeremy adores her every move and can light up a whole entire room when he laughs. It was mentioned more than once on their wedding day 😉

The Black Point Inn is an absolutely beautiful historic hotel on Prouts Neck, here in southern Maine. I couldn’t help myself from imagining all the events that had taken place on its property since 1878. That is before the Titanic sunk and before the Brooklyn Bridge was built. It felt so right to be there for a wedding. The interior of the lobby can take you to a place of imagination when women wore corsets and had lots and lots of proper rules on being fancy. I loved being there.

The light in the evening, when we went outside for their portrait session was the stuff of dreams. They are so easy to photograph, chatting and snuggling and being generally cute the whole time. What more could we ask for? It was such a good day to be a wedding photographer.

Groton MA Wedding: Matt and Taylor

Taylor and Matt’s wedding was such a fun day. They both had ample chill time pre-wedding, hanging out with their crew’s at the hotel before being shuttled over to the Barn at Gibbet Hill! During the ceremony, a rare and but wonderful occurrence happened… Matt cried as Taylor walked down the aisle to her. Some might say it’s cliché, but we rarely see this happen here in stoic New England. It was so refreshing and made us all melt. Her beautiful veil may have had a little to do with the drama since it was a mile long and being blown dramatically by the wind. It was a pretty incredible moment between these two.

Afterward, we knocked out some family and wedding party photos and then it was full-on party time. There was even dancing BEFORE dinner. That always bodes well. We love being a part of FUN weddings, and this one sure delivered.

Boston MA Wedding: Rachel and Shep

Our first wedding of the year!!! What a fun way to start our 2018 Wedding season you guys!

Rachel and Adam got married on an unseasonably hot day in April. Boston was just warming up and everyone was out and about enjoying the weather, including all of us for their wedding! We got to photograph the couple, the wedding party, the family formals, and the ceremony, all outside in the sweet sweet sunshine. The Liberty Hotel was a super cool setting for the day, located in the heart of the Boston goodness. We have always wanted to photograph here and Rachel and Adam delivered!

Thier ceremony was so cute, filled with the kindest sentiments and adorable quotes and secret glances. I was so happy to see them get married, as was everyone else there. After the ceremony, we headed inside for the cocktail hour and then it was reception time. They did a well-practiced first dance, with a dramatic dip at the end. Who doesn’t love that? Of course, there was the Hora, which always terrifies me but I love it.

Cape Elizabeth, Maine Engagement: Greer and Richie

I know its summer, but let’s take it back to a bone-chilling 15-degree day in February ok? Come meet some of the bravest clients we have had yet! These two live in Texas and were in town for some wedding planning. We had just this one day to make their engagement session happen and we were blessed with some fresh snow to go along with it. First, we headed to the lovely Ft Williams State Park because who doesn’t love the iconic Portland Headlight? Next, we headed over to the private property where their wedding will happen (soon!). We loved having access to a rocky part of the coastline we had not seen yet and were in awe all over again at just how lovely Maine really is. #nevergoingtogetold These two were so easy going and super snuggly and never ever complained about the temperature. How golden is that?
