After over 5 years of photographing weddings, we were finally invited to photograph a big classic wedding at the Bar Harbor Club in Bar Harbor. We have been to photograph engagement sessions, family sessions, and even an elopement… but we really wanted a chance to photograph a full-scale event in one of Maine’s most treasured places. Danielle and Josh are high school sweethearts! Photographing couples who know each other this well is always fun. There is a comfort there that’s hard to replicate. We have been excited about their wedding ever since their engagement session in Portland. It did not disappoint. Watching Josh wipe tears from both his face and hers during the ceremony was sweeter than sugar. Danielle was dead-set on having her photos taken at the top of Cadillac Mountain, despite a timeline crunch. Having a bride with such a strong commitment to her wedding photos is really the best ever!!! We made it to the top of Cadillac Mountain with 15 minutes to make magic, and we will never ever forget it. Acadia did us all right that day. The sparkler exit finale was electric and the couple ran off into the night together, setting off on their next adventure.
