Marianmade Farm Wedding: Gina and Fred

For our very first wedding at Marianemade Farm, Gina and Fred showed us how its done beautifully! SHE Lux Wedding knocked it out of the park. We loved the overall feel of the day, especially how the couple sat right smack dab in the middle of the dining space, completely surrounded by their guests. It had such a good feeeeeel to it. O and those bouquets… they were SO PRETTY!

Even though the weather threatened to be wet, all it did was give us some pretty clouds and an appreciation for the lack of rain. Gina and Fred were so goofy with each other which bodes pretty dang well for the future. You gotta be able to giggle and laugh together for longevity and they certainly can. From the preparation, to the ceremony, to the dinner, to the dancing, Gina and Fred’s wedding day was a lovely lovely lovely one.

Harpswell Maine Wedding: Nicole and Ken

O how I wish these two lived here in Portland, Maine. We would hang out all the time, (at least I hope we would). Laid back, barefoot, ocean-loving, sage burning… yes please. Nicole and Ken had a wedding that I would want for myself if Dan and I got married here in Maine. It reminded me of Kevin and Laura’s wedding last year… another SUPER Maine-y wedding with all the vibes. At the time, Nicole and Ken lived in Flagstaff AZ, and rented a house on the Maine coast for their intimate wedding. They had the place for the week and all the family could stay there so they just had a hang out surfing session getaway in the days surrounding the event.

The ceremony was FULL of tears and love and laughter, with a sage smudge, and readings. They were rooted in the grass, barefoot. It was a “YES” from me. Afterwards, we went to the shoreline with them for portraits, while family dogs bounded around us. Later we retreated back into the house for dinner and dancing. Such a special and wonderful and loving way to spend a Tuesday evening don’t you think?

Newegan Seaside Inn Maine Intimate Wedding: Mikhaila and Steve

Intimate weddings are among our most favorite weddings to photograph because of the honest simple and true nature they hold. We are always honored to be a part of them and this sweet wedding of Mikhaila and Steve is no different. Set in beautiful Mid-Coast Maine, they said their vows in front of the people they hold the dearest in their lives. There to confirm and affirm their love…

After witnessing their ceremony, we took them over to one of our favorite spots in Maine to photograph and let me tell you, this location NEVER ceases to amaze me with its beauty. Newagen, you have a gem. Mikhaila and Steve, well never forget your wedding day. Smiles and adoring love always shine the brightest.

Rockland Maine Wedding: George and Bryson

When you grew up overlooking Rockland Harbor, there really is no other place to get married. George and Bryson said their vows to one another on her parent’s lawn, overlooking a view she had seen ever since she was a little girl. This time though, it took on a whole new meaning as the place she and George became husband and wife!

Her parents own a boatyard and they cleared a space among the boat stands and sails for a wedding tent. All their family and friends came up to Rockland for the party and showered them with well wishes, hugs, and kisses. I’ll always remember just how much fun it seemed everyone was having, laughing and playing lawn games and dancing like it was the end of time. A happy day indeed.

Brooksville Maine Wedding: Becky and Matt

Becky and Matt were married on family land in Brooksville Maine, overlooking the Eggemoggin Reach on the Penobscot. There were friends camping out, cabins to get ready in, and water all around. Matt spent a CHUNK of time leading up to his wedding, clearing a path and a clearing in the woods for his wedding ceremony, to marry his bride. The iconic romance of this is hard to beat.

They had their first look as he drove up on the boat they got engaged on, and then we headed across the water to the ceremony site. Family and friends surrounded the couple among the tall trees and soft ground. It was a pretty dang magical spot and moment if you ask me. Afterwards, we headed back to the tent for lobster, cooked on site with water from the ocean. Again… pretty dang magical.

One thing I loved witnessing throughout the day, was just how much Becky and Matt not only love one another but how much they themselves are loved by the people in attendance. The things said about both during the toasts were so kind and we wish we knew them both better ourselves judging on that alone! What a great wedding you guys… so good.
