Christina and Chris’ Manhattan Engagement Session

I love heading to an engagement and getting a voicemail from the future bride that says “Happy Engagement Day! We are so excited!” I mean seriously, what is not to love? We met them in Central Park and then did a whirlwind tour of the city, visiting their old apartment, a rooftop deck, and the where they first met. I really enjoyed how personal she made the locations. Each spot, including the Bethesda Fountain, were all meaningful to them. Well done Christina, well done.

Dan and I were looking forward to this session so much and it completely lived up to our hopes. After the shoot, we had cocktails and bar food from heaven (think the best mac and cheese you have ever had and then double that awesomeness). It was a perfect closing to the evening. Thank you both for everything. You hosted us well in your beloved city.

Britt and Tony’s Brooklyn NY Wedding

Remember Britt and Tony? We could not WAIT to photograph their wedding, and it completely surpassed our expectations. Being a witness to their marriage was such a special event for us, because you can feel the electric love between them when you are in their presence. They were married at the Most Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, NY and then had a dancing march to the Reception at Office Ops, also in Brooklyn. The down-pouring rain moved the reception inside but the party was in no way calmed because of the change. We think you will want to be Britt and Tony’s friends… BEST friends.. after you see this wedding filled with emotion, personality, exuberance and pure sweet love!

“Francie thought it was the most beautiful church in Brooklyn. It was made of old gray stone and had twin spires that rose cleanly into the sky, high above the tallest tenements. Inside, the high vaulted ceilings, narrow deepset stained-glass windows and elaborately carved altars made it a miniature cathedral.”  -A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith

Tony & Britt’s Brooklyn NY Engagement Session

Thunderstorms of epic proportions were predicted for the evening of Britt and Tony’s NYC engagement shoot. Britt emailed early in the morning wondering if we should do the shoot at all, and Dan and I were gloomy about the prospect of missing yummy warm buttery light of the sunset due to storm clouds. The idea of postponing the shoot came up and neither parties were really excited about the idea at all. Who could have known that our collective bravery would soon pay off and the evening would be filled with the absence of rain and the presence of warm buttery light and a couple very very very in love…

Britt and Tony are the kind of people you should hang out with if you ever doubt that true love exists in this world. How much do you want to just be their friends? I know we do! We left their engagement session energized and even a little more in love with each other than before. Thanks for the  energy and happiness you two, and the tacos!
