Two days afterÂ their stunner wedding, Meredith-Gray and Eric met us at 8:00am for some portraits in the moody Seattle morning. They wanted to have images of themselves that didn’t just depict them on their wedding day, but also images that showed them more as themselves in their favorite city. I say city, but really they love the nature and ocean around Seattle, and wanted to meet us at Golden Gardens park, close to where Eric had lived on his sailboat for a few years. The weather was brisk and foggy, which was exactly what Mer wanted. Me too actually! I love when the weather has an attitude.

It was so sweet seeing them again, in a different context than the wedding. Sometimes its hard photographing friends because you cant sit back and enjoy your time together at the wedding. Im thankful we got this one on one time with them.

I have know Meredith-Gray for a decade. She and I met via the band Jump Little Children and have stayed in touch ever since. She is an incredible hair artist and I make it a point to see her whenever we are in the area. Eric is an extremely smart and kind person, and we finallyÂ got to meet him a couple years ago when we were passing through Seattle. We had been looking forward to meeting him since we heard he was in the picture, the two having met the very first day Meredith-Gray was in Seattle after her cross-country move. You should probably go and read their love story right now since its adorbs.

On their wedding day, the two of them got ready at their home, Meredith-Gray even doing Eric’s hair. We had a few moments of sunshine and were able to grab a few portraits of them before we headed to the loft for the ceremony and reception. They had a private ceremony before walking down the aisle together to have a public ceremony on a stage in front of their family and friends. Afterwards we went out into the Seattle rain, for more portraits and heartfelt hugs. At the reception, guests dined from a local food truck and then toasted the night away, showering them with love and adoration.

I am so glad we were the people they chose to have by their side that day, to capture the love between them that fleeting moment in time. It was the absolute perfect finale to our 2015 wedding season. Can we go back to this day again?
