French’s Point Wedding: Andrea and Brandon

Andrea and Brandons wedding was one of the few “big” weddings we were able to photograph during the 2020 Pandemic. It was near the end of the year and all the guests were tested prior to arrival. Masks were prevalent, of course, and other than that, it was a relatively “normal” wedding day as far as pre-covid times felt. That being said, there was nothing “normal” about these two in terms of being so so kind and so so in love and so so fun to photograph! I miss Andrea and Brandon often and wish they lived here so we could be friends!

After a sweet first look, we went down to the nearby water for a few wedding portraits before the ceremony, since the sun was setting right afterwards! Those late fall timelines are always a challenge but so worth it. After the sweet ceremony, we went inside for the reception. I remember loving the fact that we got to be on a dance floor again, as foreign as it felt, it also felt so so good.

I’ll never forget this wedding because the next day Andrea texted and asked if we left a light behind. We did. So we met up with them at a local brewery and hung out. Thanks for sharing a couple hours of your honeymoon with us Andrea and Brandon!

Portsmouth Backyard Wedding: Kathryn and Fede

I love how Kathryn and Fede changed their plans within the pandemic and still had a dream day. They slashed the guest list, made space for social distancing if needed, had lots of covid-tests (back when it was pretty hard to get one) and they had the wedding they planned! It was always going to be in her parent’s backyard, and it still was.

This was a gorgeous one yall. Enjoy.

West Hartford Connecticut Wedding: Claire and Jason

Enthusiasm is the word that comes to my mind when I think of Claire. Jason keeps it chill from what we could tell on the wedding day, and Claire brings the energy. A winning combo eh? One detail I adored about the day was the casual vibe. Her dress was flowy and free which I felt went well with the general feel of the day… which was both of those two things: flowy and free.

Together, Claire and I waited in a horse barn, for her walk down the aisle. Then we played as a quad in a pasture and then with some horses. What more could you ask for really? COVID threw a wrench in plans for everyone, and Claire and Jason found a way to make it work beautifully.

Newry Maine Intimate Wedding: Liz and Sam

When the pandemic took over the world, Liz and Sam had a big wedding planned with so many people they love and cherish. Instead of canceling, they rescheduled the big wedding for 2021 and then got married this year with a small ceremony, COVID-Safe, and in the same place. While it wasn’t the original plan, it was still beautiful and chock full of joy.

First we all got ready at a nearby estate and then took an open window school bus to the family cabin for the wedding. The weather was a dream and the company was even better. Being a part of little celebrations like this always feels more intimate for us since we make up a large percentage of the people there! Everyone welcomed us as much as they could at a 6ft distance. Thankfully we will be hugging everyone in 2021 for the big wedding.

Also, I’ll be dreaming of being able to photograph in this spot again. What a gem!

Portland Head Light Elopement: Mackenzie and Kyle

Mackenzie and Kyle were unbelievably chilled out for their COVID safe intimate wedding at the Portland Head Light. As you can see, Mackenzie didn’t even wear a traditional white wedding dress. It almost felt like they met up with their crew, strolled to a nice vista, and then got married with no muss or fuss. It felt like that because that’s exactly what they did! The officiant Claire even had to remind Mackenzie that she was chewing gum right before she said her vows. When I say it was chill… I mean it.

Lots of happy selfies and facetimes and impromptu photos followed until we left the park to head elsewhere for the sunset. A nice wedding indeed.
