Acadia Elopement: Jesse and Wayne

Jesse and Wayne came up to beautiful Acadia for a teensy weensy elopement. It was so teeny that it was literally just the four of us. They had signed some paperwork at the courthouse a while before so we didn’t even need an officiant for their vows. Boom.

We met them in the parking lot of Sand Beach. Wayne changed in the car and Jesse in the park changing rooms. I helped her with her buttons and Dan photographed that while Wayne headed down to the water’s edge to wait. The simplicity of it all was beautiful to me.

They had a sweet first look then hopped up on a rock and told each other just how much they loved each other. After that, it was just photos till the sun was gone and then they drove all the way home to Rhode Island. Romance yall. Romance.

Northeast Harbor Maine Wedding: Hayley and Ryan

We have always said, and we will keep on saying it… Intimate Weddings are beyond wonderful. We. Love. Them! Hayley and Ryan’s tiny wedding in Northeast Harbor was just that. We met them at the Asticou Inn and then everyone headed up to the terraced gardens for the ceremony. It was so sweet to see how joyful the whole event was. Everyone was smiling and laughing and just thrilled that these two were getting married. Even their dog was over the moon.

After the ceremony, we walked through the gardens for portraits and made our way to cocktail hour and dinner. Before we knew it, the sun was setting and grabbed a few more portraits of them before the fire was lit for smores. A wonderful wedding indeed.

Cunningham Farm Maine Wedding: Bryanna and Zach

There is always one day a year that is way too hot… way too hot for Maine I mean. Everyone was trying not to pass out AND look cute while we were all “glistening” in the sun. The ladies got to get ready in the air conditioning while the menfolk went fishing on the beautiful Cunningham Farm property. Once we all worked up the courage, we headed outside for the ceremony. As soon as it all started, I forgot about the heat and we got to photograph these two get married! One of my favorite wedding moments of ALL TIME happened during their ceremony actually. Bryanna and Zach had a dog ring bearer who actually carried the rings down the aisle in a basket like a champ! How impressive is that?

After the ceremony and photos, it was full-on party time. We were shocked at how fast these folks got into the dancing even in the daylight. High five for that you guys.

Essex Massachusetts Portrait Session: Anna and Kyle

Anna and Kyle got married last year. Go see the blog post. I’ll wait.

Ok. How cute right? Well, we wanted to do an engagement session with them before the wedding but the timing never worked out, (they lived in California at the time). This summer though, they were in New England and we got to make it happen! It was really fun to see the two of them again after their wedding too. The raporrt between the two of them is so casual and kind and it’s simply a joy to be around them. We hung out in a park for a while then headed over to the beach for some boating and swimming. Is there a better way to spend a summer evening?

Rye New Hampshire Wedding: Mariah and Roger

We met Mariah and Roger last year for their engagement session, and have been looking forward to their wedding even more than usual since then. (Click that link and go and see the cuteness).

It was a hot hot day here in New England. The sun we beating down and giving us intense light and everyone’s skin was “glistening.” Im not sure if the couple of photos we got of Roger crying were tears or sweat but well just go ahead and say tears ok? In spite of the heat, everyone was happy happy joy joy all day! We loved being around these humans and their friends.

The toasts were all hilarious. The dancing was fresh. The sunset was bangin. All in all, a wonderful day to be a wedding photographer.
