Kitty Hawk NC Portrait Session

Man o man… NC you are lovely and we miss you.

Here are a few images we took while in the OBX of Dan’s brother and his girlfriend. I’m so glad we got to finally photograph these two. They came down to the beach to visit us and we spent the weekend eating out, drinking, and sitting on the beach. At the end of one of these heavenly days, we hopped in the car and headed to the soundside to grab a few photos of them. We had wrapped up the shoot and were back in the car headed home when the sky LIT UP in this amazing pink color. We turned left and rushed to the closest water access we knew of and grabbed my favorite images of the session. <3

All the heart eyes for these two.

Sunday River Wedding: Colleen and Chris

…and so it begins… our 2019 wedding season!

Colleen and Chris are so chill yall. So so chill and easy going. I felt instantly at ease when we arrived. Colleen even said to me that she didn’t care about any of the details… just the people. Our assignment for the day was just to photograph all the people that she and Chris love and not worry about any of the other “stuff” of the day. I have to admit it was a refreshing feeling. These two were just so happy to be getting married. Since it was May the fourth, there was a lot of Star Wars references, like homemade Star Wars blasters and lightsabers, which were quite impressive. Couples who nerd together, stay together. <3 Enjoy wedding #1 of our 2019 season!

Jockeys Ridge Portrait Session: Emily and Jim

As you probably know, Dan and I spend a lot of time in the Outer Banks of NC during the winter and spring months. Come to think of it, we really should start marketing down there and shoot some weddings dontcha think??

Emily and Jim are friends of ours and have been for years. They are OBX locals, living that dream beach life all year round. Jim and Dan surf together when we are there and we like to get together for dinners and brunches and general hangouts as much as we can. Since they are the cutest, and we have been friends with them forever, we wanted to take some photos of them so… we did!

Two Lights State Park Anniversary Session: Michelle and David

For their two year anniversary, Michelle and David wanted to have their photos taken to honor the huge step they took in their relationship: Moving from Texas to Maine! It was important to them that there was snow and a rocky coastline since that is pretty far from their previous digs in Texas. We are so happy they are here in Maine selfishly because we adore them and see many double dates in our future. I know Texas must be jealous.

Can you tell from these photos that David was freezing his buns off since he only had on a flannel shirt to keep him warm? Worth it.
