Portland Maine Wedding: Katie and Luke

Katie and Luke had a beautiful brunch wedding, just like what we did for our own wedding!! Brunch wins! Katie got ready at the couples new home they purchased recently, and Luke got ready here in Portland. They met at the alter in the always fun Portland Company, where they also had their reception. The room was filled with bright colors and super fun flowers, all arranged by a family member! We were definitely impressed. Some of our favorite details of the day were the flowers, the food (which included a plate of just bacon!), the cake cutting via a sword, and Luke’s tears during the ceremony. It was such a fun day! They left the reception at 4:30pm, just in time to start an epic after-party!

Warren Vermont Wedding: Brianne and Sean

Brianne and Sean took a risk and planned their wedding for the top of a ski mountain in beautiful Vermont. For the second time in our photography career, a ski mountain-top wedding was rained out and the rain plan was enacted. The last time was at Brittany and Jim’s wedding.  Luckily though, like at any rain wedding, they rolled with the punches, had fantastic attitudes, and the backup plan was lovely! The guys played video games until the last moments before the ceremony and the ladies did what ladies do, primp and laugh and toast to the day! The ceremony was not long after the supreme court ruling on marriage equality and Brianne and Sean chose to use a quote about marriage from that historic day as party of their wedding ceremony. It was beautiful.

Once the party got underway, it was on! The dancing and music were so fun and we were sweating right along with the guests. You can count on Bostonian’s to bring a good dance party wherever they go.

York Maine Intimate Wedding: Valerie and Alex

She visited the Nubble Light and thought to herself… if I ever get married, this should be the place. Years later, she made that thought into a reality, marrying the love of her life on the rocks the light house protects ships from. We were SO excited for this wedding of Val and Alex, having photographed their engagement session not too many days before the wedding itself. We were also able to work with the ever talented and bubbly Events by Jackie M, one of our favorite event coordinators! The chemistry between them is WILD and it was a blast to photograph. Their first kiss was a swoopy dip and swept us ALL away. After a ridiculously romantic ceremony, bringing together two families from two parts of the world, they all dined together in nearby Ogunquit at MC Perkins Cove. This was such a sweet wedding to be a part of.

Boothbay Harbor Maine Wedding: Annie and Josh

Annie and Josh came all the way from Arizona to say “I do” in the great state of Maine. After meeting them earlier that week for their engagement session, we returned to the Mid-Coast for their July 4th wedding! After a Catholic ceremony across town, they celebrated in style at the Newagen Seaside Inn, arriving via Lobster Boat! Josh’s dad is in a band, and they performed for part of the reception. You should have seen the room when he sang and original song to Annie and Josh…. not a dry eye in the house. This was one fourth of July we won’t soon forget!

Lili and Gordon’s Anniversary Session

Recently Dan and I photographed the 2016 Catalog for MTI Lifejackets! While we were there, we found a few moments to photograph Lili and Gordon, just as the sun was setting over Plymouth Bay. They are the owners of MTI and we have known them for a few years now, even prior to becoming photographers, back in our outdoor industry jobs. It’s fun to photograph friends and to be able to share our gift with people even if its just in a 10 minute session on a short stretch of beach.  Photographers: go take photos of your friends!
