Working it 2011

In case you haven’t had the pleasure of being photographed by us at your wedding or portrait session, here’s a little sneak peek on what you can expect.

We are never the only photographers! That is a good thing. Don’t you just love to see all your guests photos too? So many different takes on the day. Sometimes I wish I could do a wedding with just my iPhone and see all the sweet images that I can capture.

I thanked Dan a million times over for doing these shots because even just looking at this carousel shot makes me queasy!

Clearly we were TIRED after a session in the city. Thanks to the T, we could reflect that for you.

I just love this shot of Dan because let’s face it, he makes a HOT photographer. WIN!

Yes. Perilous.

Laying down in glass in Brooklyn.

MBTA photos are illegal I think.

Whew! Putting on the coat after a beach wedding. How in the world does my hair still look relatively nice?

A rare red-headed Bethany photo!

It takes a lot to get Lola to pose for Instagram!

Dan dipping me on the dance floor! Rachel, our assistant photographer snagged this shot one second before we fell down. Gotta love it right?

Creeper. No other way to look at this one.

Good God! I have gone insane.

So there you have it. Dan and I are clumsy, happy, committed, and there for your shot. Just say the word.

2011: Favorite Photos

In the ninth hour, Dan and I finally sat down to look through our hard work of 2011 and review all the images we took through weddings, engagement sessions, family sessions, and commercial shoots. We closed our eyes and thought of the images that came to mind instantly and want to share them with you. It’s amazing to see all the people we got to meet and share really precious moments with throughout 12 short months. Everyone will have a lasting impression on our lives and on our work and portfolio. We are blessed to have met all of you and are grateful to you for choosing us to capture what was important to you. You really rocked out world. Here’s to 2012 and all that it holds!

Lyndsey and Ben’s Boston MA Engagement Session

Talk about a gorgeous afternoon! It was a far cry from the weather the day we had to cancel their first scheduled engagement session. It looks like the weather rewarded us for being wise. The leaves in Boston were at their absolute peak for the season and the weather was more than perfect. We got to stroll around the city in buttery light with perfect temps with this sweet couple that we now ADORE! Lyndsey and Ben met us at their absolute favorite restaurant, the Mistral. We had the place to ourselves and got to capture some really fun images of them hanging out in a place they love. We walked to Copley Square and the famous John Hancock building. Later we walked along the Commonwealth Avenue Park and ended the evening at the Esplanade. We couldn’t have asked for more with these two. They were full of love for one another and it was a breeze to get on camera. Their wedding next year is going to be at a music hall, which just might be awesome enough to top this afternoon… but just barely.

We almost forgot, the English Bulldog’s name is Lola!

Eirik and Deanna’s Napa, CA Wedding

Deanna and Eirik (pronounced “Eye-rick”) met on Facebook if you can believe it! Eirik is Norwegian and has a mutual friend to Deanna, Jarred, who was the best man. Jared started a conversation with Deanna on Facebook, forgetting he was on Eirik’s computer logged in as him instead. After a while of talking back and forth online, Eirik offered to meet with her in Venice and she agreed. Now that’s a good first date!  Deanna and Eirik  were married in Deanna’s family’s front yard in Napa, California. It was a home grown event, full of sweet touches and gifts from everyone, including a family friend who was a chef providing the meal, Deanna’s brothers building the dance floor, music written and sang by family, as well as a special song written and sang by the groom and performed by her siblings. Three of Eirik’s friends flew from Norway for the wedding, as well as his Father and Sister. His mother couldn’t make it but she was able to be there for it all via skype! Eirik’s Dad filmed a lot of the day and always had her within the reach of an iPad. It was very cool to be able to have her see what was happening and even talk to them! During their couple portrait time, Eirik said “Wait I forgot I need to do something! I need to change my facebook status to married!” Deanna will begin a new life with Eirik in Oslo, Norway, but not before they travel the world for a few months as an extended honeymoon!
