Austin Texas Wedding: Kathryn and AJ

When AJ emailed us asking us if we knew any wedding photographers in Austin Texas, we politely but rather immediately replied: “US!” This response got us hooked up with a sweet wedding in the great state of Texas, getting to meet his uber sweet Texas lady, a whole lot of fun Texas and NYC folks, and a good time.

AJ got ready in his apartment while Kathryn and her ladies prepared at the Intercontinental, downtown. They met up in the lobby for an adorable “first look” in front of some beautiful windows. We love finding quiet moments in the bustle of a city, and this was one! Couple photos and family photos followed, and then we all headed to the venue a few minutes outside of town at The Union on Eighth. The ceremony took place outside and was very unique in the fact that all the guests helped in the officiating. Everyone had words to read out loud that lead the ceremony on, while a sibling did the official pronunciation. It was adorbs.

The reception was immaculately detailed and looked so pretty throughout the whole evening thanks to Kate and her team at Wild Sky Events. Well done ladies… well done. The party went on late into the evening and with a confetti exit, they newlyweds ran off! It was super fun, super cute, super happy, and just what we like to be a part of.

Providence Rhode Island Wedding: Dana and Rodrigo

The Providence Public Library is stunner of a wedding venue, so you kinda need to be a pretty fantastic glamorous couple to be able to live up to the grandeur. Thankfully, we were there with Dana and Rodrigo, two really rad folks. The guys got ready just down the street at a hotel, while Dana and her ladies prepared in the Trustee’s room of the library. She was such a easy bride that after she got ready, having done so so quickly, we had lots of time to take bridal portraits, which I loved.

The two made things legal and official with cheers and a mazel tov. Then everyone headed for dinner and toasts in yet another gorgeous room in the library. We snuck off with the couple for portraits, even getting yelled at for losing our library chaperone. Whoops! The photos were worth it we think. The dancing began and it felt like the time flew by. I remember when we hugged Dana goodbye she said “Is it time already??” Many congrats to you both. <3

Seattle Wedding: Meredith-Gray and Eric

I have know Meredith-Gray for a decade. She and I met via the band Jump Little Children and have stayed in touch ever since. She is an incredible hair artist and I make it a point to see her whenever we are in the area. Eric is an extremely smart and kind person, and we finallyÂ got to meet him a couple years ago when we were passing through Seattle. We had been looking forward to meeting him since we heard he was in the picture, the two having met the very first day Meredith-Gray was in Seattle after her cross-country move. You should probably go and read their love story right now since its adorbs.

On their wedding day, the two of them got ready at their home, Meredith-Gray even doing Eric’s hair. We had a few moments of sunshine and were able to grab a few portraits of them before we headed to the loft for the ceremony and reception. They had a private ceremony before walking down the aisle together to have a public ceremony on a stage in front of their family and friends. Afterwards we went out into the Seattle rain, for more portraits and heartfelt hugs. At the reception, guests dined from a local food truck and then toasted the night away, showering them with love and adoration.

I am so glad we were the people they chose to have by their side that day, to capture the love between them that fleeting moment in time. It was the absolute perfect finale to our 2015 wedding season. Can we go back to this day again?

Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston Wedding: Sara and Dave

One of the most fun parts of being a wedding photographer is being able to meet and get to know so many people who we genuinely fall for! Sara and Dave are two of those people that we are so so thankful to have met and gotten to know.Â We knew their wedding was going to be unforgettable, one of those weddings thatÂ makes us pinch ourselves when we remember just how magical it really was to be there.

Sara and Dave are madly crazily wildly in love. Their wedding was big and fun and sparkly and glamorous and all the wonderful things a wedding can be, but its important to note that their love never got lost in the details of the day. The orchid bouquet, red lipstick, and diamond drop earrings had Sara looking fiiiiiiiine. Tuxedos for all the menfolk and evening gowns on the ladies made for a black tie event. Gold and Clementine colors sparkled in the reception, which was decorated to the nines. We were overwhelmed with the glitz and glamour!

Â One of my favorite moments of the day was actually at the very end of the reception. The guests formed a circle around Sara and Dave spontaneously, and they danced in the center of the circle to a romantic epic song, surrounded by the people they love most in the world. It wasn’t staged or set up. It was just one of those perfect wedding moments that we live for.
